With Christmas and New Year’s Eve around the corner, exams finishing and the weather heating up, the party season is upon us!  At some time this summer you will probably host your own party with friends or family, but this can often be a difficult talk. After some trial and error, here are some tips for hosting the perfect party. Summer Party (3) First, make sure you send out invites (whether on Facebook or in person) in advance, with so many parties every weekend you need to make sure yours is in people’s diaries first! This will ensure everybody will be able to attend and you will have plenty of time to prepare. Second, make a list of all the things you will need weeks in advance, for example: tables, chairs, lights, food, drinks and ice. Start gathering these things as early as possible, there will always be some things you will forget until the last day, so be sure to be as prepared as possible before the event. Another important tip is about the space of the venue. Make sure you have enough room to fit everybody, and if you have too much room, try to contain the area so that people won’t spread out into groups. The party won’t be as successful if people aren’t mingling. A weeks before the party start to plan a playlist, you will change your mind on the songs a few times and everyone will have requests, make sure there is something for everyone in the mix, from sing alongs to dance tracks, the perfect playlist equals the perfect party. Be sure to supply plenty of food and dishes that don’t require constant effort like heating. Chips always are fail-safe option. Always supply enough water for everyone, and be sure to have ice for everyone’s drinks. The day before the party, make sure you have hidden or protected any items which can be broken or ruined - and child proof everything! Whether you’re hosting the party at your house or someone else’s, your party will be a disaster if something valuable gets broken. On the day of the party, make sure you allow plenty of time to get ready and relax, as a host, this isn’t so easy, so allow more time than you would usually need. Having everything organised the day or morning before will help calm the nerves and keep you on track. Finally, don’t forget that you are the host of the evening, so you need to make a good impression on your guests. Add a delicious summery Royal Apothic scent to your outfit so you leave a trail of pleasant scent wherever you walk. Don’t forget to have fun and take photos so you can make the memories of the best party of summer last forever!
